Case Study: MCCA
The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority operates two facilities in Boston: the state-of-the-art Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and the downtown Hynes Convention Center. Serving almost a million convention and meeting attendees per year, the MCCA lacked a comprehensive means of disseminating important information to its visitors.
To address this need, the MCCA hired Yaeger Communications and Marquis Design to publish a series of twice-yearly guidebooks that are distributed on the floor of the convention centers. The BCEC Navigator and Hynes Beacon are each packed with more than 40 pages of information on the facility and surrounding area, providing attendees with information such as floor plans, dining suggestions, walking tours, business services, and other pertinent facts. The guides include sponsorships and advertising that offset publication costs and enhance the project’s appeal.
